On Friday January 28th 2011, ARDCorp is hosting an Agri-Energy Forum to raise awareness and understanding of renewable energy technologies throughout B.C.’s agricultural sector.
This one day event, to be held during the Pacific Agriculture Show, in Abbotsford, will include presentations on renewable energy pricing, on-farm anaerobic digestion, gasification, geoexchange, wind, project financing, etc.

BC is home to several policy mechanisms and programs designed to encourage renewable energy production. This panel will discuss these mechanisms and programs, including the proposed Feed-in-Tariff Regulation, BC Hydro’s Standing Offer Program and Terasen Gas’ Biomethane Service Offering, to provide greater clarity regarding their availability, eligibility, pricing, etc.

On-farm anaerobic digestion presents BC’s agricultural sector with an opportunity to turn environmental and economic problems into solutions and additional, diversified, revenue streams that improve competitiveness, economic viability and environmental sustainability. This panel will discuss the advances of on-farm anaerobic digestion in BC and important lessons learned from the State of Vermont.
