Agri-energy Forum (January 28, 2011)

On Friday January 28^th 2011, ARDCorp is hosting an Agri-Energy Forum to raise awareness and understanding of renewable energy technologies throughout B.C.’s agricultural sector.

This one day event, to be held during the Pacific Agriculture Show, in Abbotsford, will include presentations on renewable energy pricing, on-farm anaerobic digestion, gasification, geoexchange, wind, project financing, etc.

Renewable Energy Pricing (Panel)

BC is home to several policy mechanisms and programs designed to encourage renewable energy production. This panel will discuss these mechanisms and programs, including the proposed Feed-in-Tariff Regulation, BC Hydro’s Standing Offer Program and Terasen Gas’ Biomethane Service Offering, to provide greater clarity regarding their availability, eligibility, pricing, etc.

On-farm anaerobic digestion presents BC’s agricultural sector with an opportunity to turn environmental and economic problems into solutions and additional, diversified, revenue streams that improve competitiveness, economic viability and environmental sustainability. This panel will discuss the advances of on-farm anaerobic digestion in BC and important lessons learned from the State of Vermont.

A wide range of technologies and tools are being developed or are commercially available that facilitate and enable renewable agri-energy production. The presentations within this session will discuss these technologies and tools to increase the understanding and awareness of the opportunities they present BC’s agricultural sector.

So you have decided to build your own renewable energy project. This session will provide answers to your questions regarding the availability of project financing.
